Comedian Alex Díaz Hospitalized wiht Diverticulitis, explains Social Media Absence
San juan, Puerto rico – Comedian Alex Díaz addressed concerns about his recent silence on social media and absence from Radio Radio KQ105, revealing he was hospitalized this weekend with diverticulitis.
Díaz explained he accompanied family members to teh airport Saturday for a trip to New York to finalize arrangements for an apartment, while he and his wife, Adriana, remained in Puerto Rico intending to record a vlog. However, he experienced severe diverticulitis pain that night, causing dizziness and cold sweats.
“I had no choice but to yell at Adriana to help me change my pajamas and run to the hospital, since it could be somthing serious,” Díaz shared. He received morphine at the hospital and was diagnosed with an inflamed diverticulum. Doctors prescribed medication for at-home treatment.
Díaz stated he has been confined to his home since Sunday morning, experiencing “the worst mood one can feel.” He confirmed the pain is ”very intense and do not go away overnight,” and will be unable to fulfill his duties at the radio station until he recovers.
Explaining his lack of social media activity, Díaz said, “Imagine how uncomfortable I feel and how much pain I’m going through, that I haven’t even been able to access the networks.” He added he prefers to use his platforms to uplift his audience, not share personal struggles.
Díaz concluded by thanking followers for their support and requesting “all the prayers you can make” for his recovery.
