Albertina Museum Raises €360,000 at Gleis‘ inaugural Fundraising Dinner

Vienna, Austria – February 27, 2025 – The Albertina Museum successfully concluded its annual fundraising dinner on Tuesday evening, raising a significant €360,000 under the direction of newly appointed General Director Ralph Gleis. This marks Gleis’ first major event since assuming the role at the beginning of 2025.

Ikemura’s “Tokaido” Joins Albertina collection
The funds raised will facilitate the acquisition of “Tokaido,” a notable work by Japanese-Swiss artist Leiko Ikemura. This addition strengthens the Albertina’s internationally recognized collection.

Guests enjoyed a sophisticated multi-course meal featuring a medley of wild salmon, shrimp, and tuna, followed by Wagyu Beef and barbary duck served with sweet potato and bacon herb salad. The evening concluded with the “Albertina Chocolate bar” - a dessert incorporating strawberry, mango, and Matcha parfait.
