montgomery, AL⁤ – Alabama Governor Kay Ivey adn House Speaker Nathaniel Ledbetter have⁢ secured a temporary restraining order against the alabama ⁣High school Athletic Association (AHSAA), halting a recent ruling that threatened too sideline student-athletes utilizing the state’s new CHOOSE Act. The legal victory,‍ granted‌ Friday by Montgomery County Circuit Judge J.R. Gaines, prevents ⁤the AHSAA from enforcing its rule requiring a one-year athletic ineligibility for students​ transferring schools with the help of the school choice program.
