Nearly nine in ten respondents to a recent survey consider artificial intelligence a significant technological trend, with cybersecurity and sovereign cloud solutions emerging as key areas of focus, according to preliminary findings released today.

The growing importance of AI in cybersecurity is being actively addressed by major technology firms. IBM Security, for example, offers AI-powered solutions designed to accelerate threat detection and response, protecting user identities and data, according to a company statement. Microsoft emphasizes the importance of trustworthy AI, ensuring sensitive data is protected by leading security and compliance controls.

The cybersecurity industry broadly acknowledges AI’s integral role in effective cyber defense, with vendors across the spectrum incorporating AI into their products and services. However, the technology presents a double-edged sword.
