Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite on TBS drew 604,000 viewers, an 8% decrease from the 654,000 who tuned in the previous week, according to data from Wrestlenomics.
The show too registered a 0.12 rating in the key 18-49 demographic, down 20% from the 0.15 rating achieved on February 4th. Despite the week-over-week decline, the 0.12 rating represents the second-highest demo rating for Dynamite since the November 12th Grand Slam Mexico event.
AEW Dynamite faced stiff competition on Wednesday night, going head-to-head with coverage of the Winter Olympics on NBC, USA Network, and Peacock. The wrestling program finished ninth overall in prime time cable ratings, although an NBA game on ESPN secured the second spot with a 0.26 rating in the 18-49 demo.
Compared to the same week in 2025, overall viewership for Dynamite increased by 4.3%. Still, the 18-49 demo rating experienced a more significant drop, declining by 25% year-over-year.
Looking at recent performance, this week’s episode showed a 14% increase in overall viewers and a 33.3% jump in the 18-49 demo compared to the nine-week average. The ten-week average for overall viewership stands at 575,000, while the average 18-49 rating is 0.095. Data for the Christmas Eve episode remains unavailable.
The fluctuations in ratings coincide with changes in Nielsen’s measurement methodology. Beginning September 26, 2025, Nielsen implemented a “Big Data + Panel” system, replacing the previous “panel-only” method. This initial change led to a general decrease in viewership measurements for wrestling programs. Further adjustments to the methodology, specifically for cable telecasts, were reportedly made on January 26, 2026, resulting in a subsequent increase in viewership for wrestling content, according to Wrestlenomics.
According to a post on the wrestling information board wrestling-infos.de, the February 4th episode of AEW Dynamite, which drew 654,000 viewers, was the highest viewership since September 17, 2025, when Nielsen first implemented the new rating calculation.
