Tigre Municipality to Host Adoption Awareness Day on September 15
TIGRE, Argentina – The Municipality of tigre will host a free community event on Monday, September 15, dedicated to raising awareness and providing support surrounding adoptive processes. held at the Honorable Deliberative Council (HCD) from 2 pm to 5 pm,the day commemorates the 75th anniversary of Argentina’s first adoption law,sanctioned in 1948.
The event will feature a series of presentations and workshops exploring various facets of adoption. Representatives from the municipal government will detail the support services available through the local coat house. The “Strengthening Ties” program will share its experiences and insights into the needs of children and adolescents navigating the adoption system.
A collaborative project between the municipality and the Tigre Art Museum, “Art and adoption,” will also be showcased. This initiative utilizes art therapy to help adoptive families strengthen their bonds.
Attendees will hear a personal testimony from an adoptive family, followed by a presentation from Lic. Florencia Guillem, a specialist in the field, who will discuss her book, ”I Met My Family Traveling.”
