BPCE Achats & Services Seeks Experienced Market Data Buyer to Drive Global Sourcing and Negotiation Strategies
BPCE Achats & Services, a key procurement entity within the Groupe BPCE, is actively recruiting a seasoned Market Data Buyer to spearhead its international sourcing initiatives. The role is critical in defining and executing negotiation strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the alignment of market data needs with business objectives across the entire Groupe BPCE. This position offers a unique chance to contribute to a leading French banking and insurance group, impacting its strategic transitions and operational efficiency.
The triumphant candidate will be responsible for coordinating the contractualization of needs, often in collaboration with the legal department.A core aspect of the role involves defining negotiation objectives and strategies, leveraging available tools to achieve optimal outcomes. The buyer will manage the entire supplier lifecycle, including conducting international consultations that engage all Groupe BPCE Market Data teams. Furthermore, the position requires developing and maintaining close relationships with business lines to thoroughly understand their market data requirements and negotiate accordingly, while also supporting these lines on major transformation projects.Participation in multi- or bilateral actions through Cossiom and other Market Data IPUGs, notably concerning Market Data and ESG data, is also a key responsibility.
Ideal Candidate Profile and Required skills
Groupe BPCE is seeking an individual who embodies autonomy, association, curiosity, creativity, and a strong results-orientation, coupled with a genuine appetite for negotiation. Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential. The ideal candidate will be recognized for their interpersonal skills, ability to lead and adapt, excellent oral and written communication, tenacity, persuasive power, and a strong aptitude for analysis and numerical data. A solid understanding of the procurement process, advanced purchasing and negotiation techniques, and project management, particularly in a project-based procurement context, is expected.
A minimum of six years of experience as a buyer specifically within the market Data procurement sector is a prerequisite for this role. This experience should demonstrate a proven track record in managing complex sourcing and negotiation activities.
