Acer Launches ChromebookEnterprise Plus⁢ Spin 514, ⁤Boosting Business capabilities with AI ⁢Features

EMEA & North America – October 2024 – Acer ⁢today announced the availability of the Chromebook ​Enterprise Plus Spin 514, a⁢ new​ convertible Chromebook ⁣designed to ⁢enhance business ‍productivity⁢ and security. Alongside a‍ consumer⁢ edition, the Enterprise Plus model delivers centralized device‍ management, robust ⁤security features,‌ and streamlined chrome⁢ enterprise ‌upgrades, catering to the ‍evolving needs of modern workforces.

The launch⁤ comes as businesses increasingly adopt Chromebooks for their cost-effectiveness, security, and ease of management. The⁣ Spin 514 builds⁣ on this​ trend by integrating advanced features and​ a ⁣powerful⁤ processor,⁢ aiming to provide a secure and efficient computing experience for employees, whether in the office or working remotely.

The Spin 514 ‌can ​be configured ⁢with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB ‌of UFS storage, powered ⁤by the ‍MediaTek Kompanio 910 processor with ⁤an Arm Mali-G925​ MC11 GPU. A ​70Wh battery offers ​up to 17⁤ hours of use. ‍ ​The ‌device features‌ a 14-inch touchscreen ⁤available⁤ in WQGA (1920×1200 at 60Hz, 340​ nits)‍ or WQXGA+ (2880×1800‍ at 120Hz, 300 nits) resolutions, both protected by gorilla‍ Glass with an anti-glare⁢ coating⁣ and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The chassis, meeting MIL-STD 810h standards, weighs 1.36kg and is 15.5mm⁢ thick.Connectivity options include two USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one USB-A 3.2 Gen‍ 1 port, and a‌ headphone ‌jack. The Spin 514 supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. ‍Webcams are available in 5MP or 1080p⁢ resolutions, featuring blue glass lenses, a privacy shutter, and AI-powered noise reduction.

The Chromebook Enterprise Plus‍ edition provides centralized device management, allowing IT departments to⁣ manage Chromebook fleets, enforce policies, and ensure secure remote access for⁤ employees. It includes a Chrome ⁢Enterprise Upgrade, enabling businesses to‌ easily deploy and maintain Chromebooks across their institution.

The standard Chromebook Spin 514 is available⁢ in EMEA and North America starting at €969.99 and ⁢$969 respectively. The Chromebook Enterprise Plus Spin 514 starts at €879 through ChamberS EMEA in October,with US pricing yet to be ⁢announced.
