KISS Guitarist ace Frehley dies Aged 74 Following ’Ongoing Medical Issues’
ace Frehley,the iconic lead guitarist for the rock band KISS,has died at the age of 74. News of his passing follows the cancellation of his 2025 tour dates due to ongoing medical issues,and reports of a recent fall and subsequent hospitalization.
Frehley, known to fans as “Space Ace” or “Spaceman,” was a key architect of KISS’s signature sound and stage presence. He joined the band in 1973, contributing to their breakthrough success with albums like Destroyer and Alive! and hits including Rock and Roll All Nite and I Was made for Lovin’ You. Known for their black and white makeup, elaborate costumes, and big hair, KISS captivated audiences with their glam style.Frehley originally left KISS in 1982, later rejoining for a reunion tour in 1996 and remaining with the band until 2002.
During his time away from KISS, Frehley formed his own band, frehley’s Comet, and pursued a solo career. Last month, he cancelled a concert after a fall in his studio, which led to a hospital visit. A September 26th Instagram post stated, “He is fine, but against his wishes, his doctor insists that he refrain from travel at this time.” sources later told TMZ that Frehley suffered a brain bleed in the fall,and had been on a ventilator “for some time” with no advancement in his condition.
