Ace Frehley Cancels 2025 Tour Dates Citing Health Concerns
Former KISS guitarist Ace Frehley has canceled all of his scheduled tour dates for 2025, citing “ongoing medical issues,” according to an proclamation made by the rocker. The cancellations come as Frehley and his former KISS bandmates – Gene Simmons, Paul stanley, and Peter Criss – are set to be honored as Kennedy Center Honorees in December.
the cancellations mark the latest health challenge for Frehley, who has a history of onstage mishaps during his time with KISS, often involving falls while performing in high-heeled boots. Bandmates stanley and Simmons would reportedly cover for these incidents, incorporating them into the show as if planned choreography. ”I used to fall a lot in those boots,” Frehley told Music Radar. “A lot of times, Paul would cover for me by walking over to me like it was part of the show. he made it look like was choreography or something.”
Frehley, Simmons, Stanley, and Criss were recently named Kennedy Center Honorees by President Donald Trump, and are scheduled to receive the award at a ceremony in December alongside George Strait, Sylvester Stallone, Michael Crawford, and Gloria Gaynor. Details regarding rescheduled dates, if any, have not been released.
