Abu Dhabi Exhibition Connects Youth with Emirati Heritage
The Abu Dhabi international Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition 2025, currently running at ADNEC until September 7th, is deeply engaging young visitors with a diverse range of educational and interactive activities designed to connect them with the UAE’s rich heritage and values. The exhibition seamlessly blends the traditions of the past with the energy of the present, fostering a sense of belonging and pride in Emirati identity.
Children are experiencing the legacy of falconry through hands-on training, learning the skills and values of patience and courage associated with this ancient practice.Virtual reality experiences transport them to the wilderness, offering immersive explorations of the UAE’s natural surroundings.
A dedicated “Haddira” area teaches Emirati hospitality etiquette, covering everything from welcoming guests to serving Arabic coffee with respect and understanding of seniority. Workshops led by accredited instructors, like Ahmed Al-Hababi, provide practical training in customary coffee preparation and hospitality practices.
Beyond heritage, the exhibition encourages skill growth. “Archery Simulation” offers an exciting challenge to test accuracy and composure, while workshops focus on instilling respectful social behaviors. Creative expression is fostered through drawing and handicraft activities inspired by the local environment, allowing children to develop their artistic abilities and strengthen their connection to national identity.
The exhibition also features a variety of art workshops, including wall painting, bracelet design, and the Japanese art of Decodine – a decorative technique using glue and artwork to personalize accessories.
