A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Tops Streaming Charts | The Wrap Report

“A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” has ascended to the top of the streaming charts, according to the latest Samba TV weekly Wrap Report. The HBO drama, a spin-off of the globally popular “Game of Thrones,” marks a significant win for HBO Max, which is as well seeing success with its ER drama, “The Pitt.”

Even as “Knight” debuted in third place and held that position for a week, it has now overtaken previous chart-toppers. The ascent comes as “The Lincoln Lawyer” returned for its fourth season on Netflix, drawing 4.6 million households in its first four days. Samba data indicates that 19% of viewers binged the entire season within 48 hours.

“The Pitt,” meanwhile, has steadily climbed the ranks, reaching third place – its highest position yet. This marks the first time the HBO Max series has cracked the top three, suggesting growing viewership as its second season progresses.

Last week’s leading series, “Bridgerton,” experienced a drop, falling three spots to fourth place. “Fallout,” the Prime Video adaptation of the gaming franchise, remains a consistent performer, holding steady in fifth.

Netflix’s fresh true-crime documentary, “The Investigation of Lucy Letby,” debuted at sixth place, but its release has been met with controversy due to its use of AI deepfakes. Prime Video’s “The Wrecking Crew” saw a significant decline, dropping from second to seventh place, while “The Traitors” on Peacock moved up two spots to eighth.

“His & Hers,” a Netflix miniseries, continues its strong performance, maintaining a spot in the Top 10 for five consecutive weeks. Apple TV+’s “Shrinking” returned for its third season, rounding out the top ten streaming titles.

On linear television, the Super Bowl dominated viewership, overshadowing other programming. According to the Samba TV Wrap Report, “American Idol” topped the charts for the second week in a row. “Chicago Med” followed in second place, with “Chicago Fire” close behind in fourth. Two ABC procedurals, “Will Trent” and “High Potential,” also secured positions on the chart, landing in eighth and ninth place, respectively.

“Wheel of Fortune” had a strong showing, appearing in multiple positions on the chart, including third place, while “Jeopardy!” closed out the top ten.

The Samba TV weekly Wrap Report provides insights into the most-watched movies and TV series, based on data collected from a panel of over 3 million households, balanced to reflect the U.S. Census. HBO has also announced season renewals for two “Game of Thrones” franchise series, with new seasons planned each year through 2028, according to Warner Bros. Discovery. HBO has confirmed that “House of the Dragon” will conclude with its fourth season, as reported by IGN.
