“A Ghost‌ in Battle” – A New Thriller From the Director of “Nobody Will ​Speak of Us When We’re Dead” Heads to ​Cinemas & Netflix

San Sebastián, Spain – the latest film from acclaimed Spanish director Agustín Díaz Yanes, A ⁢Ghost in Battle, is generating meaningful buzz ⁣ahead of its premiere at the San Sebastián ⁢Film Festival.​ Known for his meticulous storytelling and impactful narratives – most notably Nobody will Speak of Us When We’re Dead, a modern ⁣classic of Spanish cinema – Díaz Yanes has ⁤delivered‌ only four‍ feature films to date, with ⁢ Oro being his most ⁣recent ​in 2017.

This makes the release ⁢of A‌ Ghost in Battle ‍a noteworthy event for national cinema. ​Díaz Yanes has a proven track record‌ of success with original‍ screenplays,‍ and ⁤this new thriller promises to be equally compelling. Notably, two ‍of his previous films were adaptations of novels by Arturo⁢ Pérez-Reverte ‍(alatriste, a historical epic ⁢with a massive budget, and Oro).

A Ghost in Battle ‌ will first arrive in cinemas⁣ on October 3rd,followed ​by a release on Netflix on October 17th. Díaz Yanes and Bayona are currently collaborating on another enterprising project:‍ an adaptation‍ of Manuel Chaves Nogales’ journalistic account of the Spanish Civil‌ War, With Blood and fire.

What’s the Story?

The film centers on Amaia‌ (Susana‌ Abaitua,known ​for her ​role in Patria),a Civil Guard agent who⁣ dedicates⁣ over a decade‍ of her life to infiltrating ETA. Her mission: to uncover and dismantle the terrorist association’s hidden arms ​caches in ‌southern France.
