Crimson Desert: 3 Million Wishlists Ahead of March Launch

The highly anticipated action role-playing game, Crimson Desert, has surpassed 3 million wishlists on digital distribution platforms, developer Pearl Abyss announced Tuesday. The milestone comes as the game enters its final stages of development before its global launch.

Pearl Abyss acknowledged the support from the gaming community on social media, stating, “A huge thank you for making #CrimsonDesert one of your most anticipated games. We’re in the final countdown to March 19—prepare yourselves for the world of Pywel!”

Crimson Desert will place players in the role of Kiff, a commander of a mercenary group known as the Greymanes. The narrative centers on uniting a fractured band and confronting rival factions across the war-torn continent of Pywel. The game is designed to feature a dynamic combat system, blending melee engagements with elemental abilities, alongside crafting and trading mechanics intended to deepen the game world.

The surge in wishlists positions Crimson Desert among the most eagerly awaited game releases of the year. The achievement echoes the recent success of Manor Lords, which also reached 3 million wishlists just four days prior to its official release. However, Crimson Desert is slated to launch more than two weeks from now, suggesting sustained anticipation for the title.

Reviews for Crimson Desert are scheduled to be published on March 18 at 11:00 PM Polish time.
