NCAA Basketball: Friday Game – Live on DAZN

by Alex Carter - Sports Editor

DAZN will broadcast the entirety of the NCAA men’s and women’s basketball tournaments, including the Elite Eight, Final Four and National Championship, beginning with the 2025 season. The streaming service has secured rights to a wide range of U.S. College football and basketball content through a multi-year sublicensing agreement with ESPN, making the games available to viewers in selected territories in Europe and the MENA region.

The agreement expands DAZN’s U.S. Sports offerings beyond NFL Game Pass and NHL.TV. Approximately 20 college basketball games per week, encompassing both men’s and women’s competitions, will be streamed on the platform. Fans will also have access to up to 25 college football games each week during the regular season, including matchups from the SEC, ACC, and Big 12 conferences. The College Football Playoff and CFP National Championship Presented by AT&T are also included in the deal.

DAZN also acquired rights to all of Fox Sports’ football games from the Big 12 and Mountain West Conferences, and some football games from the Big 12 and Big East conferences. The deal with Fox Sports includes all of the network’s regular-season Big Ten football games – between 24 and 32 per season – as well as the championship game. It also encompasses a slate of men’s and women’s basketball games, and the 24-hour Big Ten Network feed, featuring highlights and related content.

Most of the college games covered under both the ESPN and Fox Sports deals will be exclusive to DAZN and available free-to-air for a limited time. DAZN Group CEO Shay Segev stated the agreement strengthens the company’s portfolio of North American sports properties. The ESPN deal covers selected territories in Europe and the MENA region, while the Fox Sports deal is global.

Fox Sports holds the majority of Big Ten rights alongside CBS and NBC through a long-term deal running through the 2029-30 academic year, valued at approximately $7.5 billion. DAZN’s acquisition of these rights represents a significant expansion of its college sports coverage, adding to its existing offerings of NFL and NHL content.
