A young woman was checked by medical personnel after a single-vehicle accident in Førde, Norway, on Saturday morning. The incident occurred at Holtemyrane around 11:50 AM, according to a police report.
Police stated that the vehicle had left the roadway. The driver, identified as a young woman, was transported to a local medical facility for evaluation. “She had a little pain, but it doesn’t seem serious,” said Daniev Stenvig, the on-scene incident commander, according to Firda.no.
Authorities have indicated there is no suspicion of driving under the influence. A vehicle recovery service removed the car from the scene, and police have decided not to pursue further investigation into the incident, according to the report.
The incident follows a separate police response in Førde on October 12, 2023, involving reported knife threats at Firda Billag, where armed police were dispatched. That incident involved two minors who were known to each other, and no injuries were reported. Police initiated a formal investigation into that matter.
Elsewhere in Norway, police are currently investigating a violent incident in Mo i Rana, reported on February 23, 2026, where an individual was threatened with a weapon at a private residence. A fatal accident involving a teenager occurred in Biri on February 21, 2026, in a ski/sledding area.
The Norwegian Police Directorate recently published its threat assessment for 2026, highlighting increasing difficulties in identifying those behind serious criminal activity.
