HOUSTON, TX – BigXthaPlug, the Texas rapper who rose to prominence with his 2023 album Amar, is spearheading a collective effort to elevate his label, 600 Entertainment and bridge the gap between Texas and West Coast hip-hop traditions. The label, which also features Ro$ama, Yung Hood, Murdagang PB, KevanGotBandz, and KaineMusic, released its new single, “6WA,” on February 27, 2026, accompanied by a music video premiered by Rolling Stone.

The track, steeped in the sonic landscape of classic West Coast rap, serves as the lead single from the upcoming mixtape, 6WA, slated for release on March 20. The project’s cover art deliberately echoes N.W.A’s iconic 1989 album, Straight Outta Compton, signaling a conscious effort to connect with and honor the legacy of California hip-hop. The mixtape boasts features from Snoop Dogg and the D.O.C., further solidifying this cross-coast collaboration.

The “6WA” music video, directed by Jerry Morka, showcases the 600 Entertainment crew in a distinctly Texan style – rolling in customized, vintage automobiles. This visual aesthetic, according to the label, is a deliberate nod to the state’s tradition of extravagance and bold self-expression. The video features appearances by BigXthaPlug, Ro$ama, Yung Hood, and Murdagang PB, each contributing to the track’s energy.

BigXthaPlug’s ambition extends beyond individual success. He views 600 Entertainment as a platform for a new generation of Texas rappers. “We’re trying to express ourselves in our own words. To let them know what we’ve been through and what we’ve overcome, and where we came from,” BigXthaPlug stated. “We all have the same mission and the same goal.” This sentiment positions 600 Entertainment as a potential successor to influential Texas labels like the Screwed Up Click and Swishahouse, both of which played pivotal roles in shaping the state’s hip-hop identity.

The 6WA mixtape will include 14 tracks, including the title track, “6WA,” featuring Ro$ama, Yung Hood, and Murdagang PB, as well as “6IXER PARTY” featuring Snoop Dogg. The tracklist also includes contributions from each of the label’s core artists, showcasing the collective’s diverse range. The full tracklist is as follows:

  1. “6WA” [BigXthaPlug, Ro$ama, Yung Hood, Murdagang PB]
  2. “A WORD FROM THE D.O.C.” [feat. D.O.C]
  3. “I GO” [Ro$ama, Murdagang PB]
  4. “SAFE TO SAY” [BigXthaPlug, Ro$ama]

  7. “FROM THE BOTTOM” [BigXthaPlug]
  8. “LIFE OF A GANGSTER” [Ro$ama]

  10. “THE HOTTEST” [BigXthaPlug, Yung Hood]
  11. “AMERIKKKA’S MOST WANTED” [Ro$ama, Yung Hood]
  12. “600 DEGREES” [BigXthaPlug, Ro$ama, Yung Hood, Murdagang PB]
  13. “AIN’T NEVER SLOWIN’ DOWN” (Bonus) [BigXthaPlug, KevanGotBandz]
  14. “WHO DUNNIT” (Bonus) [BigXthaPlug, KaineMusic]

Following the release of 6WA, the future trajectory of 600 Entertainment remains to be seen, but the label’s deliberate blend of Texas grit and West Coast influence suggests a calculated effort to carve out a unique space within the national hip-hop landscape.
