Free LEGO Star Wars Lightsaber: Make & Take Event – UK (March 7-8)

by Priya Shah – Business Editor

LEGO enthusiasts in the United Kingdom will have the opportunity to build and take home a free LEGO Star Wars Lightsaber at participating LEGO stores on March 7th and 8th, 2026. The promotion, designed to celebrate the partnership between LEGO and Star Wars and the upcoming release of the Mandalorian & Grogu movie, will offer the exclusive build on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

The event will take place at the LEGO Store in Cabot Circus on Saturday, March 7th, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM GMT, and on Sunday, March 8th, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM GMT, according to Cabot Circus’s official website. LEGO regularly hosts similar “produce and take” events, allowing participants to acquire exclusive sets without a purchase, but the Star Wars theme is expected to draw significant interest.

The LEGO Group has confirmed that the Lightsaber build is intended for children aged 10 and older, and each participant is limited to one build. The model will not be available for purchase, making the event the sole avenue for obtaining the exclusive item.

The promotion comes as LEGO prepares to launch a range of new Star Wars sets in March and April 2026, including the 75447 The Razor Crest, the 75460 New Republic X-Wing Starfighter, the 75445 Anzellan Starship, the 75444 AT-RT Attack, the 75446 Grogu (Mandalorian Apprentice), and the 40856 The Mandalorian and Grogu: Allies & Villains Brickheadz. The company is also releasing new sets from the Pokémon, Legend of Zelda, Icons, Technic, Botanicals, Ideas, Art, Editions World Cup, Seasonal, City, Speed Champions, Brickheadz, Disney, Batman, Ninjago, Creator, Minifigures, Lunar New Year, Harry Potter, Marvel, Minecraft, Friends, DreamZzz, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Gabby’s Dollhouse lines in March 2026.

It remains unclear whether similar “make and take” events will be scheduled for locations outside of the UK, particularly in the United States.
