TWICE Performs “Strategy” with Megan Thee Stallion, Celebrates ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Oscar Nod

K-pop group TWICE performed their hit song “Strategy” on NBC’s The Tonight Present with Jimmy Fallon on Monday, February 24, 2026, celebrating the track’s inclusion in the Netflix animated film KPop Demon Hunters. The performance comes as the film is nominated for Best Animated Feature at the upcoming Academy Awards.

Originally released in December 2024 as part of TWICE’s EP of the same name, “Strategy” features a collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, though the rapper did not appear alongside the group during the late-night performance. The song has gained renewed attention following its prominent placement in KPop Demon Hunters, which has become an international sensation since its release last year, according to reports.

The inclusion of TWICE’s music in KPop Demon Hunters extends beyond “Strategy.” Group members Jihyo, Chaeyoung, and Jeongyeon recorded an original song, “Takedown,” specifically for the film’s soundtrack. The members themselves appear in animated form performing the song at the end of the movie, a detail Chaeyoung described to Rolling Stone as a “fun” opportunity to challenge the group’s established musical style.

Chaeyoung also expressed surprise at the film’s success, stating, “We never imagined that KPop Demon Hunters was going to become an international sensation.” She added that seeing the soundtrack topping the Billboard charts has been a source of gratitude for the group.

TWICE’s recent appearance on The Tonight Show follows a series of groundbreaking achievements for the K-pop group. Last year, they made history as the first female K-pop act to headline Lollapalooza, an event fans dubbed “Twicepalooza.” In October of the same year, they became the first K-pop group to perform at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. KPop Demon Hunters’ lead song, “Golden,” has already received critical acclaim, winning both a Golden Globe and a Critics’ Choice Award, and is currently in contention for Best Original Song at the Oscars.
