Anton’s Concert Tears: Tokyo Dome Expectations & Fan Concert Memories

A fan of the South Korean musical group Anton expressed anticipation on social media regarding whether a member of the group would cry during a concert at the Tokyo Dome, referencing a previous instance where a member, Taro, wept during a fan concert held in Yoyogi Park. The post, made on February 20, 2026, by a user named 설기 (@minnzz0x0), garnered 79 likes.

The Tokyo Dome, modeled after the former Metrodome in Minnesota, features a specialized fiberglass canvas roof. Maintaining the dome’s inflated shape requires a higher air pressure inside than outside, necessitating sealed exits except for revolving doors, according to information from Namu Wiki.

Yoyogi Park, the site of the earlier fan concert where Taro reportedly cried, is a popular destination for outdoor activities and events in Tokyo. It served as a secondary venue during the 1964 Tokyo Olympics and played a central role in the 2020 Games, hosting the new National Stadium. The park is as well known for its ginkgo trees, which attract many visitors in the autumn, as detailed on the official Tokyo tourism website, Go Tokyo.

The National Stadium, built for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics, is located near Meiji Jingu Gaien Garden, a large green space. The stadium was designed by architect Kengo Kuma. Transportation to Yoyogi Park is readily available via the JR Yamanote Line, Chuo Line and Sobu Line, as well as the Toei Oedo Line, with the closest station being “Yoyogi.”

A blog post from April 2023 details a four-day trip to Tokyo, including a visit to the Tokyo Dome Hotel and Yoyogi Park. The author noted a waiting system involving numbered tickets for check-in at the hotel.
