Air Force enters the contest with a 12-13 overall record and a 6-9 mark in conference games, placing them eighth in the Mountain West standings. The Falcons are second in the conference in turnover margin, averaging a positive margin of 3.6 turnovers per game, and force an average of 17.6 turnovers from their opponents.
Leading Air Force is Milhanie Perry, who currently leads the Mountain West in both free throw attempts (137) and free throws made (105), averaging 17.5 points per game. Jayda McNabb paces the conference in offensive rebounds, averaging 4.2 per game.
Boise State defeated Air Force 70-59 in their previous matchup on January 7 in Colorado Springs. For Air Force, Milhanie Perry and Keelie O’Hollaren each scored in double figures, with 17 and 12 points respectively.
The Broncos have maintained a consistent starting lineup throughout the season, making them the only team in the Mountain West to do so. Dani Bayes, Hansen, Libby Hutton, Pasco, and Tatum Thompson comprise that starting five, and each has surpassed 200 points scored this season. Boise State was the first Mountain West team to have five players exceed both the 100 and 150-point thresholds.
Thompson, Bayes, and Pasco have all scored over 300 points this season, with 368, 343, and 331 points respectively, making Boise State the only Mountain West team with three players achieving that milestone. All four starters – Bayes, Hansen, Pasco, and Thompson – have surpassed 1,000 career points while playing for Boise State.
Boise State secured its 11th Mountain West win against Wyoming on February 14, marking the eighth season the team has reached this milestone since joining the conference. The Broncos are now aiming for their 12th Mountain West win, which would be their first since the 2022-23 season. A 12th win would similarly be the eighth season under head coach Gordy Presnell with at least 12 conference victories.
The win over Wyoming also marked the Broncos’ 20th win of the season, the ninth time and seventh time under Presnell, that Boise State has reached this benchmark. The team is now pursuing its 21st win, which would be the eighth overall and sixth in the Mountain West under Presnell’s leadership.
Boise State has consistently outscored opponents in the third quarter this season, holding a 519-402 advantage. The Broncos are undefeated (15-0) when they outrebound their opponents. In 19 of 26 games played, a Boise State player has been the game’s leading scorer, with Tatum Thompson leading the team with six such performances, followed by Bayes, Pasco, and Hutton with four each.
Head coach Gordy Presnell ranks 22nd all-time in NCAA Division I women’s basketball history with 789 career victories. Boise State leads the Mountain West in three-point shooting, converting 38.5% of their attempts, ranking fourth nationally. Natalie Pasco leads the conference with 66 three-pointers made and averages 2.5 three-pointers per game, shooting 45.2% from beyond the arc, the 12th-highest percentage in the nation.
Tatum Thompson leads the Mountain West in field goal percentage at 45.7%, while Mya Hansen leads the conference in assists with 112 and averages 4.3 assists per game. As a team, the Broncos average 15.9 assists per game, also leading the Mountain West. Boise State averages 71.0 points per game, the highest mark in the conference, and leads the Mountain West in free throws made per game with 13.0.
Dani Bayes currently holds the 12th-highest single-game three-point percentage nationally this season, shooting 77.8% (7-of-9) against UC Davis on November 14. Bayes has also moved into the top five in program history in career three-pointers made with 199. Boise State recently earned their fifth road victory of the season at Wyoming, their first since the 2023-24 season.
Boise State’s nine-game conference win streak was broken with a 75-69 loss to Fresno State on February 11. The streak was the longest the team has achieved in a single season since 2007-08 and the first time since joining the Mountain West in 2011-12. Bayes and Thompson both surpassed 1,000 career points against Grand Canyon on January 3, with Thompson also exceeding 500 career rebounds in the same game. Hansen reached her 1,000th career point against New Mexico on February 7.
