Apple TV Adds Free Formula 1 Channel: How to Watch F1 Racing

by Rachel Kim – Technology Editor

Apple TV subscribers now have access to a dedicated, 24/7 live channel for Formula 1 racing, launched ahead of the 2026 season. The new channel appeared within the Apple TV app this month and cannot be removed by users, according to multiple reports.

The launch coincides with a significant expansion of Apple’s Formula 1 offerings. For the 2026 season, Apple TV+ will bundle F1 TV Pro – the premium streaming service offering comprehensive race coverage – at no extra cost to subscribers. This includes access to all practice sessions, qualifying, and races, as well as exclusive behind-the-scenes content. Previously, F1 TV Pro was a separate subscription.

The dedicated channel provides a persistent presence for Formula 1 within the Apple TV interface, making it easier for fans to uncover and watch races and related programming. Reports indicate the channel is now visible in the Apple TV app across supported devices.

This move represents an acceleration of Apple’s investment in Formula 1. The company has been steadily increasing its involvement in the sport, and the bundling of F1 TV Pro with Apple TV+ is a major step towards becoming a central hub for Formula 1 fans.
