Liv Morgan Clarifies Comments on Ignoring Online Criticism & WrestleMania 42 Plans

Liv Morgan, fresh off a Royal Rumble victory that secures her a championship match at WrestleMania 42, clarified comments she made earlier this month regarding her response to online criticism. During a recent appearance on the Battleground Podcast, Morgan explained that while she doesn’t prioritize the opinions of anonymous online commentators, she does value the perspectives of those within the WWE organization and her supporters.

The initial comments, made earlier in February, sparked discussion among wrestling fans. Morgan had stated she largely disregards online feedback, focusing instead on the opinions of those directly involved in her career. Expanding on this point on the podcast, Morgan emphasized that her disinterest in online criticism isn’t born of disrespect for fans. “That’s not to say that I don’t care about my supporters or the people that watch the product,” she said. “But pertaining to online criticism, yeah, I do not care. I don’t care about what you have to say.”

Morgan went on to explain that her focus remains on feedback from key figures within WWE, including Triple H, producers, and her fellow wrestlers. “I care about, obviously, what Triple H thinks, my boss. My producers. My peers involved. And whomever I’m seeking guidance for or advice for after the fact,” she stated. She illustrated her point with an analogy, suggesting that even the most universally appealing item won’t be enjoyed by everyone. “It could be the yummiest, juiciest, most delicious peach in the world, but there’s still someone that doesn’t like peaches. And that’s okay. I don’t care not out of disrespect, I just don’t care just because I understand that not everyone’s going to like everything. So I’m okay with that.”

Morgan’s Royal Rumble win grants her the opportunity to challenge for either the Women’s World Championship, currently held by Stephanie Vaquer, or the WWE Women’s Championship, held by Jade Cargill, at WrestleMania 42. A segment on the February 16th edition of Monday Night Raw saw Vaquer confront Morgan, reportedly causing Morgan to become emotional, according to reports.

Beyond WrestleMania, Morgan has also discussed potential opportunities outside of WWE. In a separate interview on the Battleground Podcast, Morgan indicated an openness to competing for the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships with Dominik Mysterio, stating, “I think that is totally an option.” She added that 2026 could be a significant year for Judgment Day, and a trip to AAA to win those titles “doesn’t sound out of the realm of possibility.” The AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships are currently held by Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana.
