Essen, Germany – easy software AG announced today it has achieved ISO 27001 certification, demonstrating a commitment to the highest standards of information security for its cloud-native solutions and software. The certification covers the development and operation of solutions for Enterprise Content Management (ECM), digital archiving, and management of invoices, personnel, and contracts.

The ISO 27001 standard, internationally recognized, validates the systematic and sustainable implementation of a professional Information Security Management System (ISMS). According to easy software CEO Andreas Zipser, the certification “strengthens our security promise to our customers.” He emphasized the need for businesses to trust that their most sensitive documents are protected “at all times,” whether stored in digital archives, ECM solutions, or cloud-native platforms.

The certification process involved a comprehensive review of easy software’s security architecture, elevating existing measures to meet the rigorous requirements of ISO 27001. The standard mandates a holistic approach to risk minimization, data protection, and resilience against cyberattacks, encompassing processes, technical measures, and organizational structures.

This achievement builds upon a series of recent security accolades for the Essen-based software provider. In 2025, the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) recognized easy software for its implementation of modern email security standards designed to combat spoofing, phishing, and unauthorized access. The company also received BITMi certifications for development, hosting, and secure data processing within Germany, and successfully extended its existing ISO 9001 certification for quality assurance.

easy software CIO Andreas Fey added that the ISO certification represents a move to a “systematically anchored level” of information security. He stated that the ISMS consolidates existing security measures, increasing transparency and control, and enabling more effective monitoring and further development. “With the successful ISO certification, we have raised our existing commitment to information security to a fresh, systematically anchored level,” Fey said.

The ISO 27001 certification confirms that easy software’s development and operational processes are designed to ensure the availability, confidentiality, and integrity of information, addressing the protection of critical data in both cloud and on-premises environments.
