Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will cease operations on April 17, 2026, Activision announced this week, marking the conclude of the mobile battle royale game after roughly two years of availability. The decision follows the game’s removal from both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store in May 2025, and a prior announcement signaling the end of new content updates and in-app purchases.
Activision cited a failure to meet expectations with mobile-first players, despite the accomplishment of bringing the Warzone experience to mobile devices. While the game reportedly surpassed 100 million downloads, the company determined it did not resonate with the mobile gaming audience in the same way it has with PC and console players. New seasonal content and gameplay updates were halted prior to the game’s removal from app stores.
“The servers for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will go offline on April 17, 2026, after which the game will no longer be available,” Activision stated in a press release. “Until that time, players may continue to access the game and engage with existing content.”
The company expressed gratitude to both the development team and the player community. Activision also indicated a continued focus on its other mobile offering, Call of Duty: Mobile, promising ongoing seasonal content and updates for that title. “Player passion and feedback continue to shape the future of the Call of Duty franchise, and we gaze forward to delivering meaningful seasonal content and updates to Call of Duty: Mobile,” the statement read.
Players are advised to redeem any remaining COD Points before the shutdown date, as these will become unusable once the servers are deactivated. Guest accounts will no longer be accessible after April 17, 2026. Call of Duty: Warzone remains available on Xbox, Battle.net, Playstation and Steam.
