Lunar Fresh Year greetings were released this week by artists across several major South Korean entertainment companies, including Pledis Entertainment and Starship Entertainment, marking the traditional holiday with messages for their fans.
Pledis Entertainment posted a video on its official YouTube channel featuring Bumzy, Hwang Minhyun, Seventeen and TWS, according to reports from The Chosun Ilbo. The greetings were released at noon on Saturday, February 16, 2026.
Starship Entertainment also shared a Lunar New Year message, featuring K.Will, MONSTA X, WJSN, CRAVITY, IVE, Kiki, and ID, collectively referred to as the ‘Starship Corps’ by Star News Korea. The release occurred alongside Pledis’s greeting.
ENHYPEN, another prominent K-pop group, also shared Lunar New Year greetings, expressing a commitment to “take a powerful leap with fiery passion,” as reported by The Daily Economy.
The Lunar New Year greetings follow a similar pattern of messages released by K-pop stars in previous years. In January 2025, BTS members Jin and J-Hope, along with artists from Tomorrow X Together, Enhypen, Ateez, and The Boyz, also shared congratulatory videos with fans, often appearing in traditional Korean dress, or hanbok.
YH Entertainment, formerly known as Yuehua Entertainment, founded in June 2009 by Du Hua, also operates within the South Korean entertainment landscape, having established a Korean branch in Seoul in 2014. The company was rebranded from Yuehua Entertainment to YH Entertainment on November 17, 2025.
