Silverbird Cinemas has announced that “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” will premiere on April 1, bringing a new installment to the popular franchise.
The animated film, produced by Chris Meledandri of Illumination and Shigeru Miyamoto of Nintendo, is a sequel to “The Super Mario Bros. Movie,” which earned over $1.3 billion worldwide in 2023, according to AMC Theatres.
Fandango currently lists showtimes for the film, but notes that its services are not available outside of the United States. The official trailer for “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” is available on YouTube, confirming the April 1 theatrical release date.
The upcoming movie is based on the world of Super Mario Bros., promising “bigger worlds, bolder missions and nonstop family fun,” as advertised by Silverbird Cinemas on Facebook.
