Samsung is set to unveil its next generation of flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S26 series, alongside the Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro wireless earbuds on February 25th, according to multiple reports. While the S26 phones are expected to dominate the February 25th “Unpacked” event in San Francisco, the new earbuds will share the stage, with Samsung offering a promotional incentive for connected device purchases.
Recent leaks suggest a potential feature has been removed from the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro prior to launch. Images circulating online, initially shared by Mohammed Khatri on X (formerly Twitter), detail the earbuds, their charging cases, and included accessories. Analysis of these images, compared to earlier leaked animations, indicates the absence of a previously anticipated speaker grille within the Buds 4 Pro charging case.
Earlier animations of the case’s rear panel showed a small opening adjacent to the USB-C charging port. Speculation suggested this was intended to house a speaker, similar to Apple’s AirPods, enabling users to locate misplaced earbuds through audible signals. However, the leaked images of the final product reveal only the USB-C port and a new, currently unexplained button on the case. The function of this new button remains unknown.
The leaked images do confirm other details previously reported. The Galaxy Buds 4 Pro will include three sets of ear tips, differentiating them from the standard Galaxy Buds 4. Both models will ship with a USB-C to USB-C charging cable and their respective cases. Samsung is currently promoting pre-event registration on its website, offering a “30€ promo code to spend on connected devices” on the day of the Unpacked event.
Evan Blass, a reliable source for Samsung leaks, corroborated the February 25th launch timeline. The event is expected to precede the Mobile World Congress (MWC), with the new Galaxy S26 series anticipated to be available for purchase in early March. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is rumored to include a 200MP telephoto sensor and a screen privacy feature, while the Buds 4 series is expected to maintain pricing consistent with previous generations.
