Presidents’ Day Gaming Laptop Deals 2024: Save on MSI, Lenovo & More

by Rachel Kim – Technology Editor

Presidents’ Day sales are offering unexpected discounts on gaming laptops, with some deals matching or approaching last year’s Black Friday pricing, according to industry observers. The discounts come at a time of ongoing component shortages, particularly RAM, which have recently put upward pressure on laptop costs.

Walmart is currently featuring an MSI Cyborg 15 for $899, reduced from $1,199, and a Lenovo Legion 5 for $1,399, down from $1,849. These represent particularly strong value propositions, analysts say.

Whereas Walmart is a focal point for these deals, Best Buy, HP, Dell, and Lenovo are also participating with significant discounts. CNET reported that Apple Watch Series 11 is available for $299, a $100 discount, and a Samsung 55-inch Class U7900F 4K TV is priced at $278, $72 off the original price. An Acer Chromebook 315 is available for $159, saving customers $70, and an Acer Nitro 27-inch FHD monitor is offered at $135, a 25% reduction. An Anker 20,000-mAh power bank is selling for $40, a $10 discount.

ZDNet noted that Presidents’ Day sales are already live across multiple retailers, including Amazon and Best Buy, with deals extending beyond tech to include everyday essentials. CNN reported that Best Buy is offering Presidents’ Day deals on TVs, speakers, headphones, and even grills.

The availability of these deals is limited, and retailers are advising customers to act quickly to secure desired products. Best Life Online highlighted several Best Buy sales, including a $700 discount on an LG 48” OLED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV and a $500 reduction on an ASUS Zenbook 16” Touch Screen Laptop.
