Katharine Williamson Obituary – Life Celebration & Funeral Details

Katharine Williamson, 45, of Chesapeake, Virginia, died on February 5, 2026, surrounded by the memory of close family, including her grandmother Mae Welch and father-in-law Robert Williamson. A service to celebrate her life will be held on February 15th at 4 p.m. At Wallace &amp. Wallace Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, with family receiving visitors one hour prior.

Born in Low Moor, Virginia, Williamson was a resident of Chesapeake, Virginia, at the time of her death. She is survived by her husband, William “Joey” Williamson; daughter, McKenzie; granddaughters, Mary and Ella; mother, Annette Feury Gerald; father, Warren Douglas “Doug” Myers, Rene’; mother-in-law, Freedon Williamson; sisters, Brittni Feury and Ashley Vance; brother, Kraig Feury, McKenzie; and aunt, Bessie Bittinger, along with numerous other relatives.

Family and friends remember Williamson as a vibrant and impactful person. Those who knew her described her as courageous, inspirational, kind, loving, and possessing a joyful spirit. Despite facing challenges, she embraced life fully, finding her greatest fulfillment in her marriage, motherhood, and the joy of being a grandmother to five children – including grandsons Oreanna, Kian, Aarikyle, and Haiken Myers – whom she considered her pride and joy. She was also predeceased by her son, Austin Kersey, and a lifelong father figure, Edward “Satch” Kersey Sr.

The family has requested that, in lieu of contributions, those wishing to honor Williamson’s memory send flowers to Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home.
