Emmerdale Star Laura Norton Wedding Date Revealed After 8-Year Engagement

Emmerdale actress Laura Norton has indicated a wedding with her partner, Mark Jordon, may occur this year, ending an eight-year engagement. The actress, known for her role as Kerry Wyatt on the ITV soap, shared a post on Instagram reflecting on their 2018 engagement and hinting at a possible ceremony in the coming months.

Norton and Jordon, who previously played Daz Spencer in Emmerdale, began dating in 2015 after meeting on set. The couple share two children, Jesse and Ronnie, both of whom were born with Usher Syndrome, a condition that causes hearing and vision impairments. Norton and Jordon have been vocal advocates for raising awareness and funds for research into the condition.

In her Instagram post, Norton acknowledged that “the world had other plans” following their 2018 engagement. According to a report in the Manchester Evening News published today, she wrote that they “would marry in a heartbeat.” The post included throwback photos of the couple and a visible engagement ring.

The couple previously postponed wedding plans, and in 2026, are continuing to navigate the challenges presented by their children’s condition. Norton has spoken publicly about the “ticking time bomb” of potential vision loss associated with Usher Syndrome, emphasizing the importance of fundraising and awareness efforts. She previously stated that she and Jordon were carriers of the gene for Usher Syndrome and were surprised to learn of the 75 percent chance their children would not inherit it.

Norton’s character, Kerry Wyatt, has been involved in numerous dramatic storylines on Emmerdale, including a recent marriage to Eric Pollard that was revealed to be a financial arrangement. She first appeared in the soap in July 2012 and has remained a fixture on the show.
