South Korean table tennis pair Lim Jong-hoon and Shin Yu-bin have risen to the No. 1 ranking in the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) mixed doubles competition, surpassing their Chinese rivals, according to reports confirmed on February 11, 2026.
The achievement marks a historic first for Korean players in the discipline. Lim and Shin secured the top position after a recent victory at the WTT Finals, defeating the previously dominant Chinese duo of Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha with a score of 11-9, 11-8 and 11-6, as reported by World Table Tennis.
The pair’s ascent to the No. 1 ranking was likewise highlighted by a significant jump in the ITTF World Rankings, marking the largest rise in Week 5, according to an Instagram post from World Table Tennis.
