PlayStation will host a State of Play broadcast this Thursday, February 12, at 23:00 CET, offering an hour-long showcase of both first- and third-party games.
The event’s schedule has fueled speculation among PlayStation fans regarding potential announcements. Industry insider Shinobi, known for accurate leaks, has suggested a new title from Santa Monica Studio, the developers of God of War, and a port of Bethesda’s Starfield to the PlayStation 5 are possibilities. The demand for Starfield on PS5 has been a long-standing topic of discussion within the gaming community.
Another insider, TripleSeven, has indicated that Capcom may reveal Devil May Cry 6 during the broadcast, aligning with Capcom’s frequent presence at PlayStation events.
However, one highly anticipated reveal will not be featured. Shinobi602 reported on Resetera that Ubisoft’s remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, while having a confirmed presentation and release date, will not be unveiled at this week’s State of Play. Ubisoft has not publicly commented on the timing of the remake’s reveal.
Sony’s State of Play broadcasts are key events for showcasing upcoming PlayStation titles and updates. The February 12th event is expected to provide a substantial look at the PlayStation’s game lineup, despite the absence of the Assassin’s Creed remake.
