Early last year, Apple agreed to settle a lawsuit about recording conversations with siri without permission. The problem started in 2019, and apple says they did nothing wrong. Even so, Apple has worked to make Siri more private and settled the case to move forward.
People coudl submit claims last year, and now they’re starting to get their money.
To get money from the settlement, you had to buy an Apple device that works with Siri between September 17, 2014, and December 31, 2024, and experience Siri turning on when you didn’t ask it to. You can find more details hear.
you could submit information for up to 5 devices. The $95 million settlement was expected to pay up to $20 per device, with a maximum of $100. Though, the actual amount is around $8.02 per device, with a maximum of $40.10.
