SC Johnson, the manufacturer of well-known household brands including Windex,Glade,Shout, and ziploc, has selected WPP Media to manage its North American media account, according to Adweek.

This decision represents a important win for WPP, as Omnicom Media previously held the account. The North American media business is estimated to be worth $210 million, representing approximately 66% of SC Johnson’s total global media spend of $320 million, as reported by Comvergence,a market research firm specializing in ad agency benchmarking.

Despite the shift in North American business, Omnicom Media will continue to oversee SC Johnson’s global media operations, a source familiar with the matter confirmed. WPP declined to provide an official comment on the account win.

SC Johnson’s media account change reflects a broader trend of companies reassessing thier advertising partnerships to optimize media strategies and reach consumers effectively. The move to WPP suggests SC Johnson is seeking new approaches to its north American marketing efforts.
