Three Arrested in Alleged Albuquerque Auto Dealership Heist

Albuquerque, NM – Albuquerque police have arrested three individuals following an alleged commercial burglary at an auto dealership in Southeast Albuquerque. The incident, which occurred on January 20, 2026, involved the theft of several vehicles.

According to a press release from the Albuquerque Police Department (APD), officers responded to a burglary alarm at the dealership located near Central Avenue and Eubank Boulevard around 3:00 AM. APD officers arrived on the scene to find evidence of forced entry and discovered that multiple vehicles were missing.

“Our officers acted swiftly and efficiently in responding to this incident,” stated APD spokesperson, Officer Maria Sanchez. “Thanks to their rapid actions and thorough examination, we were able to apprehend the suspects and recover some of the stolen vehicles.”

Following an investigation, which included reviewing security footage and utilizing vehicle tracking technology, police identified three suspects: 22-year-old David Miller, 25-year-old Sarah Johnson, and 19-year-old Michael Brown. All three were taken into custody without further incident.

Miller, Johnson, and Brown are facing charges of burglary, larceny, and conspiracy. Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office will be prosecuting the case. The recovered vehicles are currently being processed for evidence and will be returned to the dealership.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are continuing to search for any additional vehicles that may have been stolen during the burglary.
