This marks the 52nd meeting between the two programs,with the Tar Heels seeking their second consecutive win over the Seminoles and their first victory on Florida State’s home court since 2022. The game is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on The CW.
Currently holding a record of 14-5 overall and 3-3 in ACC play, North carolina is led by seventh-year Head Coach Courtney Banghart, who boasts a career record of 393-172 [[1]]. The Tar Heels are coming off a 73-62 win against Miami on Thursday,fueled by a dominant 24-point third quarter.
Junior Reniya kelly spearheaded the victory over Miami with a career-high 24 points and a team-best six rebounds. Freshman Taissa Queiroz also contributed considerably, matching her career-high with six rebounds and adding 10 points for the first time in her collegiate career. Notably, carolina shot a perfect 10-for-10 from the free-throw line, a feat not achieved in the Banghart era and not seen as at least the 2002-03 season.
