The newest WhatsApp testflight build now suggests stickers, so you don’t have to open the sticker panel and search. Here’s how it works.
As WABetaInfo reports, the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS has the same sticker suggestion tool that was added to the Android beta last year:
With the latest whatsapp beta for iOS 26.1.10.72 update (available on the TestFlight app), WhatsApp is now suggesting stickers as you type your messages!
Right now, the feature works with the message box. When you type an emoji that has related stickers, WhatsApp shows a small sticker icon to the right of the send button.
Tap the icon to see stickers and GIFs linked to that emoji. You can click “Show more results” to see more options without leaving the chat.
WABetaInfo says the suggestions are based on “predefined emoji associations” that sticker creators add when making stickers. So, the feature will use the emoji info added by the sticker maker, at least for now.

Only stickers with these associations will show up as suggestions while you type. This keeps the results relevant. Manny third-party sticker apps on iOS let you add multiple emojis to a sticker, wich increases the chance it will show up when you need it. This system helps WhatsApp filter suggestions, even if you have a lot of sticker packs.
Currently, the feature doesn’t work with stickers made using WhatsApp’s own sticker creator, because it doesn’t support emoji associations. But this could change before the feature is released.
