“Finishing in the Gentleman’s Room…” Beijing Express Contestant Marianne‘s Spirited Evening Raises Eyebrows
Hanoi, Vietnam – december 6, 2025 – A recent episode of the French adventure reality show Beijing Express (known as Pékin Express in France) featured a particularly lively evening for contestant Marianne, prompting a candid observation from her teammate, Fabien.The December 5th broadcast, part of the 21st season, saw contestants reshuffled into new pairings, a traditional mid-season twist designed to shake up the competition.
Marianne,selecting Fabien as her new partner,explained her choice as a blend of camaraderie and strategy. “My choice is by affinity, I get along well with the people of Marseille, and a bit of strategy.Fabien is strong. He can help me,” she stated. Fabien reciprocated the enthusiasm, noting, “We like to laugh, she has a chat like me, plus she speaks Russian well. I’m glad she chose me.”
The episode took a turn after a challenging race led the pair to a welcoming host family. Encouraged to partake in celebratory drinks, Marianne initially protested, declaring, “I never drink, I’m going to die. One drink not two.” Though, she quickly succumbed to the festive atmosphere, consuming multiple shots. The host, seemingly captivated by marianne, further encouraged her to drink, even in front of his wife. “Tonight is a party! I’ll definitely get a fourth!” Marianne exclaimed.
It was then that Fabien delivered a wry observation, predicting, “You’re going to end up in the gentleman’s room…” He later confided to the cameras, ”I have a slightly eccentric partner. Thanks to her we are even better received. She puts everyone at ease.”
This isn’t the first time Marianne’s flirtatious nature has been highlighted during the competition. Her previous partner, Lyçaona, previously expressed her observation that Marianne “doesn’t miss one as soon as it’s a guy,” during the November 14th episode. The question remains whether Marianne can successfully balance her playful demeanor with the demands of the race.
