Woman Found Dead in Car Outside Police Station – NSW

Woman Found Dead​ in Parked Car outside lake Illawarra ‌Police Station

A 48-year-old woman was found deceased inside a parked car outside the Lake Illawarra Police Station in ⁣New South ⁢Wales on⁤ Friday⁢ afternoon,police have reported.

The discovery ⁢was made in the station’s car park, located on Pioneer Drive, south of Wollongong, at approximately 4:30⁢ PM.Paramedics responded to the scene but were unable to revive the woman.

According to a statement released by NSW Police, preliminary investigations suggest the woman ‌may have been in the ‍vehicle⁣ since approximately 6:30 PM​ on Tuesday.

authorities have declared a critical ⁣incident ⁣due to⁢ the proximity of the scene to the police station. ⁢A ⁤critical⁣ incident investigation team from the South Coast will lead the investigation,with oversight from the Professional Standards Command and the Law Enforcement Conduct Commission.

A report detailing the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death will​ be prepared for the coroner.

Police have⁤ stated the woman ​is believed to ‍be a member of the public.
