offaly GAA Celebrates End-of-Season Stars with Annual Award Announcements
OFFALY GAA – A stellar season of Gaelic games in Offaly culminated this week with the proclamation of the county’s annual award winners, recognizing outstanding achievements across football, hurling, camogie, and handball. The accolades celebrate individual brilliance and team successes, marking a period of growth and ambition for Offaly GAA as it looks toward future championship contention.
This year’s awards acknowledge a particularly importent period for Offaly football, achieving Division 3 league success, and highlight the continued strength of hurling and camogie within the county.The recipients represent a diverse range of clubs and levels of competition,demonstrating the widespread talent nurtured throughout Offaly. The awards where presented following a season that saw increased participation and competitive spirit across all codes.
Ferbane’s Cathal flynn was named senior Footballer of the Year, lauded for his consistent performances with both his club and the county team, directly contributing to their Division 3 league victory. Kilcormac Killoughey’s Charlie Mitchell secured the Senior Hurler of the Year title for the second consecutive year, cementing his status as a key player in Offaly hurling.
In camogie, Birr’s Sarah Harding received the Senior Camogie Player of the Year award after a remarkable season capped off by a hat trick in her club’s county final triumph over shinrone.
