Pixel watch Set to Gain New Gestures, Bringing Enhanced Control to Wear OS

Pixel Watch⁢ users⁣ may ⁣soon have more ways to interact with their devices,⁣ as code discovered in a recent Pixel Watch app update reveals the ⁤potential return of double pinch and wrist ‍gestures. these additions would ‍bring the Pixel Watch’s gesture controls ‌more in line with competitors ‍like Apple and Samsung, offering a more ‌intuitive user experience.

Currently, the Pixel Watch features gestures ‌like Raise to Talk and Tilt-to-Wake. The newly spotted code suggests a “Double Pinch” gesture, when enabled, will allow users to “answer calls, interact with notifications, take photos and more.” Wrist gestures are ‍also making a ⁢comeback, offering the ⁢ability to “silence calls, and close alerting notifications.” Notably, Wear OS previously⁤ included wrist gestures, but ‌they were removed with the release of ⁤Wear OS 3.

While Google has not yet announced a release date ‌for these features, the finding of the ⁤code‌ indicates an imminent rollout. It remains unclear‌ which Pixel Watch models will be compatible, though hopes are that support will extend to at least the Pixel Watch 3 lineup.
