The Princess of Wales Dazzles in Historic Cartier Tiara at German State Banquet
WINDSOR CASTLE,December 3,2025 – The Princess of Wales made a striking entrance at tonight’s state banquet for the visiting President of Germany,debuting the spectacular Cartier Indian Circlet tiara.The appearance marks a important moment for the jewel, rarely seen in recent decades, and signals a new era of visibility for the royal collection.
The Princess paired the tiara with the Wessex Aquamarine Necklace Tiara and her suite of sapphire and diamond jewels from graff. The choice of the Indian Circlet, a historic piece originally created for Queen Mary in 1911, underscores the importance placed on the state visit and the strengthening relationship between the United Kingdom and Germany.
The Princess Royal and the Duchess of Gloucester also showcased significant tiaras, having recently loaned pieces to the Cartier exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum.
