The incident marks the second time in a week a 1. FC Magdeburg⁤ supporter has died following a​ medical emergency at a match, and the second such incident for RB Leipzig this season. the ⁣focus shifted instantly from ⁣the on-field competition to a somber acknowledgment of⁢ loss within the football community.

“We unfortunately have to inform you that the 1.‌ FC Magdeburg⁢ fan, who had to ⁣be resuscitated before the⁤ game, died in hospital. we are sad and full of sympathy for the relatives,” Rasenballsport Leipzig‌ stated. ‌”There ‌are moments when football takes a back seat.” 1.
