E-Bike Rider​ Dies, Pedestrians Injured in North⁢ Manchester Crash

BLACKLEY, MANCHESTER – A ⁤male‍ e-bike rider died and two pedestrians sustained serious injuries following ​a collision on Rochdale Road in North‍ Manchester Tuesday evening, ​December 2. Police have closed​ multiple roads as they⁤ investigate the incident.

The crash occurred on Rochdale road‍ in Blackley, prompting a significant emergency response. The e-bike rider was pronounced dead at the scene, while the two pedestrians were transported to hospital for treatment. Authorities are⁣ urging​ the public to avoid the area due to extensive road closures.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) confirmed​ closures⁣ are in ​effect on Rochdale Road, Whitemoss Road, and Lionbrow‌ Road.

“Officers are dealing ​with a serious RTC ⁤on ​Rochdale Road in north Manchester between a e-bike rider​ and two pedestrians,” ⁤a GMP spokesperson ⁣stated. “The ⁤male e-bike rider has⁢ sadly​ been ​pronounced dead at the scene, ‍and the two pedestrians have been taken to hospital ⁣with serious injuries.”

The closures are expected to remain in ⁣place while investigators gather evidence. Motorists are advised⁢ to seek alternative routes.
