Neo-Nazi Group ‘The Base’ suspects⁣ Arrested in Spain

CASTELLÓN, Spain – Spanish authorities arrested three suspected members​ of the neo-Nazi terror group “The ⁣Base” on Tuesday,‍ November 25, and carried⁢ out five searches in the Castellón province. A judge at Spain’s Audiencia Nacional, the country’s highest criminal⁢ court, has ordered the alleged cell leader to be held in‍ custody.

The⁢ arrests target individuals linked to a ​network‍ described ⁢by the Southern ⁤Poverty⁢ law ⁢Center as “an antisemitic, white ⁤nationalist network ​that trains members in survivalism and paramilitary‌ skills to⁤ prepare them to mount​ an⁢ armed resistance against⁣ the government.” the group​ espouses accelerationism, an ideology that broadly seeks radical social change, and has been⁢ adopted by ‌the far-right to justify efforts⁢ to destabilize communities⁣ and democratic institutions‍ through⁣ violence.

one of the key figures identified in connection ‌with the group is Robert Nazzaro, a former‍ Pentagon​ contractor and analyst at the Department​ of Homeland ⁢Security currently ‍based in Russia.​ Nazzaro‍ has ⁣been accused by alleged former members of ​”The Base” of being a⁢ Kremlin spy.

“The Base” gained notoriety for its recruitment efforts and paramilitary training, ​aiming to prepare ​members for ⁤potential armed conflict.
