Kentucky Volleyball Poised for NCAA Tournament Run After Historic Season
LEXINGTON, Ky. - The University of Kentucky volleyball team enters postseason play with meaningful momentum, riding a 22-match winning streak and carrying the weight of two Southeastern Conference Championships into the NCAA Tournament.The Wildcats concluded thier 2025 regular season with a 26-4 overall record and a 16-2 mark in SEC competition, securing their second consecutive conference title and the program’s sixth overall.
This marks a pivotal moment for Kentucky volleyball,demonstrating sustained success under Head Coach Craig Skinner. The team’s dominant performance throughout the 2025 campaign-characterized by resilience and adaptability-has positioned them as a national contender. The NCAA tournament selection show is scheduled for November 30, 2025, at 6:00 PM ET on ESPNU, revealing their seeding and initial opponent as they pursue a deep run in the 64-team bracket.
Kentucky’s winning streak, which began September 27, 2025, is the longest single-season run in program history. During this stretch, the Wildcats have faced a diverse range of opponents, navigating challenging road matches and consistently delivering strong performances at Memorial Coliseum. Senior Emma Grome,a key contributor to the team’s success,leads the Wildcats with 388 kills,while sophomore setter Audrey Zingler orchestrates the offense with 1,215 assists.

The Wildcats’ postseason journey begins with regional play, with potential advancement to the national semifinals and championship match, held December 18-20, 2025, in Tampa, Florida. Kentucky’s experience-including previous NCAA Tournament appearances and championship pedigree-will be crucial as they navigate the competitive landscape and strive for a national title.
