Samsung Deploys New Software updates Across Galaxy Devices
Samsung has released a wave of software updates for its Galaxy phones, tablets, and smartwatches in the fourth week of November 2025. The updates include One UI-based software for mobile devices and One UI Watch-based OTAs for smartwatches, according to a report from SammyFans.
This broad deployment comes at a critical juncture for Samsung, as the company faces increasing pressure to improve its software delivery amid growing competition from Apple. Recent forecasts from Counterpoint indicate Apple is poised to surpass Samsung in global smartphone shipments for the first time in 14 years, and is expected to maintain the lead through 2029. Samsung’s reliance on Google’s Android operating system, while longstanding, is further complex by Google’s increasing investment in its own Pixel line – the only Android device with complete hardware and software control comparable to Apple’s ecosystem.
The updates follow a regular monthly schedule and precede a potentially significant development: rumors suggest Samsung may launch the first phase of its One UI 8.5 Beta Program on December 8, initially for Galaxy S25 users. This beta program will likely be a key focus as Samsung heads into a busy December, aiming to address software concerns and bolster its position in the competitive smartphone market.
