LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Eastbound I-94 in Jackson County reopened Thursday evening after a crash closed the highway for several hours on Thanksgiving Day.
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) closed eastbound I-94 at M-106, near Exit 139, around 5 p.m. due to the incident. Traffic was restored to normal flow around 7:45 p.m.
Details regarding the cause of the crash and the number of vehicles involved have not yet been released by authorities. It is currently unknown if any injuries occurred.the crash was one of several reported across Mid-Michigan Thursday night as slick road conditions developed. Multiple incidents were also reported along US-127 near Van Horn Road.
