2025 Players Era Festival Set to Showcase top College Basketball Talent in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS – The 2025 Players Era Festival will bring together 18 men’s and four women’s college basketball teams for a unique tournament format at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas this November. The event, designed to highlight the sport’s rising stars, builds on the success of the 2024 festival where Oregon claimed the championship title, narrowly defeating Alabama 83-81.
This year’s festival offers a compelling early-season showcase, providing fans with a preview of potential NCAA Tournament contenders and a distinct viewing experience. All games will be streamed on HBO Max, offering broad accessibility to the action. The men’s bracket will utilize a preliminary round to seed the championship and third-place games, while the women’s tournament will culminate in a Thanksgiving Day showdown.
Men’s Players Era schedule:
the 18 men’s teams will begin competition on Monday,Nov. 24, and Tuesday, Nov. 25, with pre-set matchups determining the bracket for the championship rounds.Teams achieving a 2-0 record through the first two days will secure initial qualification for the Players Era Championship and third-place games. Teams with 1-1 records will follow, with tiebreakers resolved by point differential, total points scored, and total points allowed. The full schedule for Wednesday, Nov. 26, and Thursday, Nov.27, will be finalized following the conclusion of Tuesday’s games.
Women’s Players Era Schedule:
The women’s tournament features three teams that reached the 2024 Women’s Final Four. Semifinal matchups will take place on Wednesday, Nov.26, leading to the championship and third-place games on Thursday, Nov. 27 – Thanksgiving Day.
